MBDA s’engage à vos côtés : parcours d’intégration, plan de formation personnalisé, accompagnement de votre évolution de carrière… Main responsibilities: The COO’s mission is to lead within the Joint Venture LTMMSL between Larsen & Toubro and MBDA, all programme, technical and operational activities. The COO heads the LTMMSL operational structure and is accountable for the successful execution of LTMMSL projects through their full life cycle, from win contract to manage project. The COO is a member of the JV Executive Management Team and reports operationally on a day to day basis to the Chief Executive (CE) of the JV. The position is an expatriate mission based in the JV headquarters in Mumbai India. Within MBDA the role is attached to the Programme Directorate through PExO organization and he functionally reports to SVP Programme Export Operations. Role specifics: Program: Manage the project life cycle During bid phase: Ensure preparation and validate relevant technical bid documents (Cost Base, SOW, Technical Descriptions) and assist in the preparation of other associated bid documents (BRAD, Pricing, Cash Curves, T&Cs) During project execution; accountable for the execution of the projects (at agreed cost, technical conformity, delivery milestones and quality targets whilst ensuring customer satisfaction) Customer relationship management during project execution for program and technical aspects Manage contracts and subcontracts including MBDA relevant interfaces Technical and operations : Manage the product life cycle for development, manufacturing and support Organize Manufacturing from industrialization to production of equipment and support with the support of the Head of Operations who runs the JV Coimbatore premises Organize projects to deliver the technical milestones Organize the technical Engineering excellence to support development projects Organize the technical Engineering excellence to support production projects Organize the technical Engineering excellence to support In-service support projects Operational Structure support function : Manage internal support functions contribution to Operations Set up and maintain the BMS & QA in coordination with the JV Head of Quality Ensure Human capital development for Operations (Learning management) in coordination of both L&T and MBDA relevant entities Ensure IT, ERP and PLM systems are maintained & appropriate in coordination with JV Head of Quality and JV CISO (Cyber Information Security Officer) and in coherence with MBDA relevant constraints/Directives when applicable Manage Supply Chain Management activities , looking for support when deemed necessary of Larsen & Toubro relevant function for Indian Partners Organize R&D and future internal development Work closely with the LTMMSL CE, L&T and MBDA to develop and amend the industrial strategy of the Company; Implement and sustain the capabilities required to support the aforementioned industrial strategy, including the following aspects: Establish the Make or Buy policy, Propose the capital investment required for the Company’s operations and assist in the preparation of the associated business case, Develop, maintain and adjust the proper design, engineering, production and support capabilities; Review, approve and implement any R&D activities associated with new products; Support Make in India MBDA strategy to support proposal submission, including demonstration of key measures when LTMMSL is involved and manage the relevant MBDA localization subcontracted scope on MBDA behalf through appropriate delegated authority. In order to properly manage the Company’s programs (both domestic and export) throughout their complete life cycle, the COO will: Establish the workload forecasts and identify the required resources, Elaborate and/or validate the technical & cost brochures for all proposals, Review and approve any bid regarding the technical and program aspects, as per the risk and financial management policy, Deliver all programs within the associated timing, quality and financial performance objectives, including the following activities: Engineering & Development, Production, including procurement and supply chain management, Product deliveries, including logistics, Customer Support; Establish and implement all operational, technical and program policies and guidelines (including delegated authorities); Manage the organization in the various aforementioned domains of activity and ensure that the day-to-day operational, technical and program activities are properly managed, approved and controlled; Ensure that the function contains sufficiently qualified personnel to undertake the technical, operational and program management of the Company; Actively participate in the Company risk management process and support the assessment of the technical, operational and program risks; Support the CMO to capture new contracts and in the Company’s Business Development activities; Support or represent the CE in Customer meetings; In liaison with MIPL General Delegate for MBDA seconded resources to LTMMSL, verifies that Health and Safety activities are adequately managed and reported including outputs of related audits led either by MBDA or by LTMMSL
