Our client, a leader in stainless steel production with a revenue of 6.6 billion euros in 2023 and a capacity of 2.5 million tons, is seeking to strengthen its R&D team.


Responsibilities

* Develop innovative solutions in steelmaking.
* Ensure operational R&D functions in close collaboration with production sites.
* Support the transformation of liquid steel and optimize processes.
* Improve product quality through understanding solidification processes.
* Optimize industrial practices and resolve issues related to industrialization.
* Provide technical support to production sites.
* Develop experimental methods and manage R&D projects.
* Maintain scientific and technical watch.


Qualifications

* Masters or Doctorate in Materials Science, Metallurgy.
* Experience in R&D related to steel solidification is a plus.
* Knowledge of liquid steel, stainless steel, process engineering, thermodynamics, hydrodynamics, metallurgy, and environmental aspects in industry.
* Fluent in French and English.
* Valid driving license.

Job details

* Location: near Béthune, on-site, CDI.
* Start date: ASAP.
* Salary: from €45,000 gross annually, adjustable based on experience + benefits.
* Travel: approximately 30% of the time.
