We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable international advisory and fiduciary firm based in Monaco, providing services to a private and institutional clientele in the management of trusts, legal entities, and investment structures.
In a dynamic and demanding environment, the firm is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Trust Accountant / Finance Officer / Junior Financial Controller / Legal Entities Accountant to handle the accounting of a wide portfolio of structures, especially offshore entities, BVI trusts, and investment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
* Full bookkeeping for ~200 entities, including numerous offshore trusts (BVI, Cayman, etc.)
* Process ~250 monthly investment-related financial transactions
* Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, trial balances, and financial reports
* Support monthly and annual closings, contribute to financial statement preparation
* Work within Anglo-Saxon accounting standards while adapting to Monegasque norms
* Maintain accurate audit trails and document archiving
* Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal legal teams
* Contribute to the accounting and oversight of a family office comprising around 20 corporate structures
You are a structured, autonomous, and meticulous professional who enjoys working in complex, international accounting environments and managing multi-entity portfolios. You thrive in high-volume, high-responsibility settings, and you understand the stakes of managing sensitive financial data for HNWIs and investment funds.
Education & Experience
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in multi-entity accounting, ideally in a fiduciary, family office, legal advisory, or trust company
* Experience with offshore jurisdictions such as BVI, Cayman, or Guernsey is a plus
🧠 Technical Skills
* Mastery of bookkeeping software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
* Fluency in Anglo-Saxon GAAP and knowledge of Monegasque accounting rules
* Strong ability to manage large transaction volumes and complex intercompany structures
* Fluent English (mandatory) – French is an asset
