Our client is an international legal advisory firm based in Monaco, supporting private and institutional clients in the structuring and management of complex legal entities, trusts, and investment vehicles.
In a fast-paced and confidential environment, we are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the accounting of over 200 entities – primarily BVI PTC’s – within a multi-jurisdictional framework. The role requires fluency in Anglo-Saxon accounting standards and a good grasp of Monegasque practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping for ~200 entities, including many BVI trusts
* Monitor and post ~250 monthly financial transactions related to investment structures
* Reconcile accounts, manage intercompany flows, and produce internal reports
* Prepare closings, trial balances, and financial statements
* Work under Anglo-Saxon standards, ensuring flexibility and precision
* Ensure full traceability and proper archiving of accounting documents
* Collaborate with internal teams and external legal/tax advisors
* Support a family office structure managing 20+ entities
Ideal Candidate
You are a methodical, trustworthy, and detail-oriented professional with a strong track record in handling accounting for complex legal or investment structures, ideally in a family office or fiduciary environment.
Education & Experience
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
* 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a multi-entity or cross-border context
* Previous exposure to legal, fiduciary, or family office environments is a strong plus
* Experience with BVI entities or similar offshore structures appreciated
Technical Skills
* Solid understanding of Anglo-Saxon accounting principles
* Good knowledge of Monegasque accounting requirements
* Comfortable handling high transaction volumes
* Proficient in Excel and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Comfortable with accounting software (internal training will be provided on the tool used)
* Fluent in English (written and spoken) – French is a plus
