Roles at this level will be developing foundational legal skills and support senior lawyers with relatively straightforward legal tasks. Their role involves conducting legal research and drafting materials to support matters. Their primary focus is on learning and developing essential litigation / dispute resolution skills while contributing to the overall matter resolution and day-to-day operations of the team. The roles and responsibilities of this job include: Conducts research on legal issues, applicable law, and statutes to support case preparation and strategy Drafts basic legal documents, including pleadings, motions and discovery requests under the guidance of more senior lawyers Organizes and maintains case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and readily accessible Assists with the discovery process by reviewing documents, managing evidence and preparing discovery materials Attends hearings and depositions to observe and assist senior lawyers, taking detailed notes during proceedings Handles basic day-to-day communication with clients to gather information and respond to inquiries Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and filing documents No supervisory responsibility Works under supervision Legal qualification Foundational experience in law, typically with 0 - 2 years of practice post qualification Strong research, drafting and analytical skills to support on legal matters Experience handling legal tasks of some complexity Good communication skills This role reports to Partner Equal Opportunities White & Case is committed to creating a fair workplace.
