Safran Transmission Systems designs, produces, and supports power transmissions that provide mechanical energy to civil and military aircraft and engine equipment.
Within the military design office, in a young and dynamic environment, your mission will be:
* To conduct complex design studies aimed at improving manufacturability, quality, within deadlines and costs.
* To supervise a small team of engineers and technicians (internal and/or subcontracted).
As a development engineer, your main tasks will include:
* Estimating, planning, organizing, and scheduling development activities.
* Organizing activities and providing technical support to a small team.
* Leading design studies from conception (calculations, analysis) to product certification (testing), providing technical justifications.
* Ensuring product compliance and process/inspection feasibility through detailed plans.
* Developing and optimizing technical knowledge and design processes within the department.
* Innovating and filing patents.
Requirements include a Bac+5 degree in mechanical design, 5-10 years of experience in industrial design offices, good command of English (spoken and written), rigor, organization, excellent writing skills, good interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset. Interest in military equipment and technical challenges is essential. Knowledge of general mechanical design, dimensioning of rotating parts, structural components, lubrication circuits, sealing parts, aerospace constraints, ISO drawing standards, and proficiency in ANSYS software are required.
