Position Summary

✨ COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Our client, an international leader in the hospitality sector, is looking for an Accountant (M/F).

RECRUITMENT CONTEXT:
We are looking for an Accountant based in Madrid under a long‑term contract (equivalent to a permanent position).

You will join a multidisciplinary team at the center of a dynamic and ambitious transformation impacting management tools, business processess and organizational structures.

As this is a newly created position, you will play a key role in supporting and strengthening this transition.

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting operations & closings

• Support all accounting activities, including bank reconciliations and monthly/annual closings.

• Review and adjust general and analytical accounts.

• Post correction and adjustment entries when required.

Accounts payable & fixed assets

• Validate the accounting treatment of supplier invoices.

• Approve supplier master data creation.

• Manage fixed assets and review OPEX/CAPEX classifications.

Internal collaboration & process execution

• Communicate accruals/provisions to the BPO and ensure procedures are respected.

• Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly closing reviews.

• Assist the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing team) with open tickets.

• Respond to external auditor requests.

• Support existing teams and ensure continuity during transition phases.

• Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

‍ DESIRED PROFILE:

• Fluency in both French and English is mandatory (written & spoken).

• Master's degree with 3-4 years of successful experience as an accountant or in an audit firm.

• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and solid understanding of financial flows and business challenges.

• Demonstrates curiosity, rigor, adaptability, and proactiveness.

• Excellent command of Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).

• Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Annual salary between €28 000 and €35 000 + bonus.

2 remote days per week.
