Position overview and purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Lead Data Scientist to join their team and help them leverage data to drive business growth and innovation:
· You will be responsible for leading a community data scientists and analysts, designing and implementing data solutions, and communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders
· You will also collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure alignment and integration of data strategies and solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and mentor a community of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching
· Define and execute the data science vision and roadmap, aligning with business goals and priorities
· Design and implement data solutions using various techniques and tools, such as machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, data visualization, etc.
· Analyze and interpret data to generate insights and actionable recommendations for business problems and opportunities
· Communicate and present data findings and solutions to various audiences, including senior management, business partners, and customers
· Establish and maintain Data Science best practices and standards
· Research and evaluate new data sources, methods, technologies, and trends in the data science field
· Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure data alignment and integration across the organization
Requirements:
· Master's degree or PhD in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field
· At least 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles
· At least 2 years of experience in leading or managing data science teams or projects
· Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and other data science tools and languages
· Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, data visualization, and other data science techniques and methods
· Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts and solutions to various audiences
· Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a team of data professionals
· Curious and passionate about data and innovation, with the ability to learn and adapt to new data challenges and opportunities
Reporting
The position reports to the Head of Data & AI.
Location
Greater Bordeaux Metropolitan Area (home working: 10 days per month)
