SAP Conversational AI is recruiting a Senior Manager as Deputy Head of
Internal Adoption to join the leadership of our Adoption Team.
The position is based out of Paris (France) or Walldorf (Germany) and
focuses on developing chatbots projects with the main SAP solutions:
S/4HANA, C/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass.
What is SAP Conversational AI?
SAP Conversational AI, formerly known as the startup named Recast.AI,
develops a proprietary NLP technology and bot building platform. The
project started in September 2015, and Recast.AI was acquired by SAP in
January 2018. In January 2019, CoPilot was merged into SAP Conversational
AI, resulting in a 120 people unit bringing conversation to the intelligent
What is the Adoption team?
The responsibility of our Adoption team is to makes sure that the SAP
Conversational AI bot technology is used in the best way possible by our
internal stakeholders' project teams so that they achieve successful
delivery of their bot building projects. Adoption team members are experts
in using SAP CAI platform and in bot building methodology. They know how to
use the bot building platform and the right project methodology to build
high standard bots.
To that purpose, The Adoption team members provide training, guidance,
expertise and support to customer bot building project teams. They play a
key role in setting up project plan and governance as the bot project is a
brand-new field for most of our counterparts. They implement the project
governance with senior sponsors (CPOs of SAP products) and project teams to
track progress, anticipate and mitigate risks. The Adoption team also
establishes and maintains trustful relationships with the stakeholders and
communicates effectively. Team members deliver key messages to customers
about the roadmap, the new features and our strategy. We, on our end,
provide feedback to SAP CAI's product team about Internal Stakeholders'
strategy, requirements and expectations. The Internal Adoption team is the
home of key positions that directly contribute to SAP's Innovation Strategy
and SAP's Intelligent Enterprise Program (IE).
The role of Deputy Head of Internal Adoption is customer facing and
requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate
both orally and in writing to a wide range of stakeholders (C-level
management, sponsors, Line of Busieness (LoB) managers, Product Managers,
Project Managers, IT, …).
As a Senior Manager, you are an experienced professional with strong
leadership, relationship management and execution skills. You will take
management and leadership responsibility to ensure Internal Stakeholders'
successful bot delivery. To do so, you will ensure cross-functional
teamwork, communication and project tracking.
Expectations & Tasks
-Supervise and ensure excellent execution of all bot projects for all SAP
-Manage the Adoption team (coordination, communication, assignments,
training, objectives, reviews, HR, etc…)
-Organize internal reporting to track project progress and organize regular
communication to Internal Stakeholders (Product roadmap presentation,
webinars, articles, …)
-With the team, understand and formalize Internal Stakeholder context and
overall objective (I.e., help define with the Internal Stakeholder their
"Conversational Interface roadmap")
-Define with the customer the success criteria (criteria that will used to
assess/measure the success of the project) and e
nsure delivery according to plan
-Bring in feedback to SAP Conversational AI product team on the challenges
the customers are facing with our product and methodology and e
nsure cross-functional team communication within SAP CAI to avoid
functional or geographical silos
-Meet with project teams (Internal Adoption PM + LoB) in daily standups,
and on a weekly basis to sync on progress, define next steps, identify

-Strong experience in team management
-Project Management background gained from previous positions in Software
provider company or Consulting Firm
-Previous customer facing experience required and a customer focused
-Excellent presentation and communication skills
-Fluent English, written and spoken

Business trips abroad may be required
Engineering degree or Master in Computer Science or Bachelor degree in
Business Technology Management
